Lake Ferona is an area in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

The lake can be found just west of the Maw of Death Mountain and northwest of the Foothill Stable. It's a thermal water lake that makes Link recover hearts when submerged at least to waist height. Despite its warm temperature, there are still some fish living in the lake, including the rare Sizzlefin Trout. Surrounding the Lake, there are some warm climate animals and bugs, including some Eldin Ostrich, Fireproof Lizards, and Warm Darners.

At the far west end of the Lake, there is a circle of lilypads that Link can jump into to get a Korok Seed. On the north side of the lake, there is a circle of rocks with one missing. The missing rock is on the other side of the Lake and Link will need to carefully walk across the shallow water of the Lake to put it in its place. There are also some Luminous Ore Deposits on the south end of the Lake.

To the north of the Lake, there is path leading up the mountain with some Fire Chuchus. As Link begins to scale the mountain, large boulders will roll down and can knock Link back down towards the Lake.

Tears of the Kingdom

Lake Ferona can be found just east of the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. The lake is very warm and works as a Hot Spring. Link can simply stand in the hot water and he'll steadily regain any lost health.

In some of the deeper parts of the Lake, Link will find some Sizzlefin Trout.

Lake Ferona Cave

Main article: Lake Ferona Cave

At the west end of Lake Ferona, the Lake Ferona Cave can be found. The cave has entrances, with one being near the water level and the other being almost directly above.

Korok Seeds

  • At the west end of the lake, there is a large rock sticking out of the water. Climb to the top and lift the small rock here to get a Korok Seed.
  • At the Maw of Death Mountain to the east, right along the pathway, there is a Korok trying to reunite with his friend. His friend can be found just south of the center of Lake Ferona. Reunite the two to get a pair of Koroks.
  • Southeast of the Lake, there is a massive rock structure that extends up into the air. There is a small cubby hole on the east side of it with a tree stump on the ceiling. Ascend through the stump to get the seed.

Trivia

  • Lake Ferona is the largest thermal body of water in Breath of the Wild overall, but is shallower than the neighboring Lake Intenoch.
  • Alongside Lake Intenoch, Cephla Lake, and the waters surrounding Gut Check Rock they're the only thermal waters in Eldin that are outside the volcano's range.
