Koloktos' Sword is an item used by the boss of the Ancient Cistern, Koloktos in Skyward Sword. It is required to beat the boss, as it is the only way you can destroy Koloktos' legs and metal cage which blocks his core during the second phase of the battle. To temporarily obtain this item, when Koloktos slashes at Link with all the swords on one side of it's body, use the Whip to unscrew a hand and Koloktos will drop one of his swords.
This item cannot be taken out of the boss room, as it disappears after Koloktos is slain.
