Impa's Refuge is a location found within Oracle of Seasons. It is located at the southeast corner of North Horon and as its name suggests, it is where Impa seeks refuge for much of the game.

After General Onox kidnaps Din, Link and Impa will appear just outside of Impa's Refuge in North Horon. Initially, Impa will stand just outside of the refuge, preventing anybody from entering. Later in the quest, after Link has met the Maku Tree, Impa will head inside of the refuge. Throughout Link's journey, he can speak with Impa to get advice on where he must travel to next.

  • A gnarled root? Go straight from here. I am sure I saw one there.[1]
  • Where can the Temple of Seasons be hidden..? Does no one have a clue?[2]
  • The eastern woods? You mean the Woods of Winter, right? They lie east, then north, of the village.[3]
  • Swamp? You mean Spool Swamp? Find it north then west of the village. It's filled with beasts stronger than any you've seen so far. Go with caution![4]
  • Sunken City... I've heard of a town in the east. Try there![5]
  • Ask others for aid if you must. People, even animals, may surprise you.[6]
  • An eyeglass- shaped lake? I think it lies east of here.[7]
  • Hmm, ruins..? Perhaps Tarm Ruins? They lie far to the northwest.[8]
  • A desert? I know Samasa Desert extends east from town.[9]
  • But one essence remains! It will be difficult, but you can find it! Good luck!!![10]

After Link has defeated General Onox, Impa will leave the refuge and head towards Labrynna.

Linked Game

In a Linked Game of Oracle of Seasons, Impa will leave her refuge to look for Princess Zelda in Horon Village. Link will eventually discover Princess Zelda in the north portion of North Horon. After saving Zelda, Impa and the princess will remain within Impa's Refuge for much of the game until Zelda is captured by Twinrova.

While within Impa's Refuge, Link can visit Princess Zelda at any time and she will fully restore Link's health.
