Ice is a reoccurring theme and element in The Legend of Zelda series. Ice in Zelda games acts just like ice in real life. It makes the floor very slippery and causes Link to slide along it when he stops. A good example of ice in the Zelda series is the Ice Cavern in Ocarina of Time. Ice is mainly used as a puzzle element in rooms where blocks needs to be pushed, or in timed switches rooms.
