The Hyoi Pear is an item exclusive to ''[[The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker|The Wind Waker]]''. When one of these special pears is placed on [[Link]]'s head, a seagull from nearby will swoop down and eat the pear. After this, Link will have control of the seagull's movements, and can cause it to fly wherever he wants. Since the seagull is smaller than Link and can fly, the Hyoi Pear can be used to get to previously inaccessible places, hit switches, and pick up items or [[Rupee]]s.
