"A common mushroom found near trees around Hyrule. Eat it to restore half a heart."

— In-Game Description[1]

The Hylian Shroom is a type of mushroom and material found in Breath of the Wild.

Location and Uses

Hylian Mushrooms can be found near trees across the Great Plateau, Central Hyrule and Necluda. This mushroom will restore ½ of a heart when eaten raw, but can be increased if Link decides to cook it into a Toasty Hylian Shroom over an open flame. Hylian Shrooms can be used in a variety of Recipes, to create different types of Mushroom Skewers. However, there are no additional cooking effects with this material.

Variations

There are several variations of the Hylian Shroom. Each of these variations will also restore a 1/2 heart when eaten raw, but they can be cooked alongside meat or other food, to give an additional cooking.
