Hudson is one of the men who Link meets in Hateno Village in Breath of the Wild. He is found demolishing a house with Bolson and Karson.
When Link heads to the island in the middle of Lake Akkala, Link will find Hudson there building Tarrey Town. This triggers a new sidequest, involving Link needing to find a Goron, Gerudo, Rito and Zora, as well as several bundles of Wood before he asks Link to fetch Bolson and Karson from Hateno Village.
Hudson never returns to your house, but Bolson and Karson will be there.
