The House by the Bay is an abandoned cottage on the coast of Martha's Bay on Koholint Island in Link's Awakening. It is the former home of a Ghost who follows Link shortly after his completion of Angler's Tunnel, begging him to take him back there.[1] When he does return, the Ghost is overcome by nostalgia before asking to return to his grave.[2][3] It is a dim, decrepit old house, with many cracked floors that will break if Link stands on them for too long and a torch that can be lit with Magic Powder. After returning the Ghost to his grave in Koholint Prairie, he tells Link that a Secret Seashell can be found under one of the pots inside the hut.[4]
