Hiploop are giant yellow beetles with have a temper, and for some reason, they sometimes come with metal helmets to protect themselves. If that's the case, use the Hookshot, Bombs or the Blast Mask to take it off.
When they have no mask, these things take one to two hits to kill. However, they do hit you quite hard when they charge you and have a tendancy to knock you off ledges.
