A Hearty Elixir is an item in Breath of the Wild. It restores Link's health in full, in addition to adding some temporary hearts, the amount of which depends on the strength. This is especially useful when going into a boss battle or raiding a tough enemy camp. It is made by mixing at least one Monster Part and one or more Hearty Blueshell Snails or Hearty Lizards. Hearty Elixirs can also be bought from Beedle in exchange for Bladed Rhino Beetle and Energetic Rhino Beetle. The more Hearty ingredients added, the greater the number of Temporary Hearts the Elixir will give up to a maximum of 27.

As it's its intended purpose, the Hearty Elixir and the Fairy Tonic are the only elixirs that replenish hearts, as all other elixirs provide only buffs with no heart-replenishing.
