Hard Ore is a quest item in the Oracle games. It is obtained after Link obtains the Red Ore and Blue Ore, which can only be obtained with the Magnetic Gloves. Once obtaining the two orbs, Link must have them forged together at the Great Furnace. Link can then take it to the Subrosian Smithy were the master will forge it into the Iron Shield.
