Green Chu are small, blob-like enemies that crawl on the ground, jumping at Link on occasion as their only attack. They are one of many variants of the Chu found in Twilight Princess, including Purple Chu, Blue Chu, Red Chu, and Yellow Chu.[1]

Overview

Green Chu are a very rare form of the Chu and will never naturally appear on its own. It only appears when a Yellow Chu and a Blue Chu merge into one another, creating a larger Green Chu. This larger chu when struck, will split into smaller chu. If left alone, smaller chunks of the chu will form together, creating a larger chu.

Green Chu can be defeated with Link's Sword and it will leave behind a bit of goo on the ground. This goo can be scooped up with a Bottle to form Green Chu Jelly. However, when Link acquires the Green Chu Jelly, the text box in Twilight Princess for the GameCube or Wii is completely empty and it has no description at all. In Twilight Princess HD, a text box is added, but it simply says that the jelly doesn't look too tasty.[2] When consumed, Green Chu Jelly has no effect at all on Link. This is due to at some point in the game development, the Magic Meter was removed. Green Chu Jelly presumably would have restored part of Link's Magic Meter.
