Great Fairy

Great Fairy's are fairies that are much older, and have grown much more powerful than regular fairys. They can help Link on his journey by fully restoring him, and they usually bestow some sort of gift upon him.

Legend of Zelda

The Great Fairys in this game will fully heal Link whenever he comes to one of their springs.

A Link to the Past

File:Great Fairy ALttP.gif These Great Fairys are can do more than just heal Link. These fairys bestow more powerful items on our hero.
File:Great Fairy Queen ALttP.gif And if you can find their queen, she can increase the size of his quiver bomb bags... for a price.

Link's Awakening

File:GreatFairy queen LTTP.gif The Great Fairy's of this game heal Link. Their queen however though, will give link a "Power of Color" allowing him to swap his green tunic out for a red or blue one. These boost his offensive and defensive power respectively.

Ocarina of Time

Great Fairys could only be found at their Fairy Fountains. If Link did manage to find one, they would reward him with the ability to use magic, more magic or spells of various sorts.

Majoras Mask

The Great Fairys in Majora's Mask were shattered by the Skull Kid using the power of the mask. If Link can manage to gather up all of their Stray Fairy's then they will reward him. Some rewards are enhancements to Link's magical abilities, increased defence, and the final one will grant Link the Great Fairy's Sword, being incredibly powerful.

Oracle of Ages & Oracle of Seasons

File:GreatFairy queen LTTP.gif The Great Fairys of this game do the same thing as their counterparts in Links Awakening. But there is no Fairy Queen.

Four Swords

Meets Link(s) at the end of the Sea of Trees, will reward the Links with a key, depending on how well they did.
Meets Link(s) at the end of the Death Mountain, will reward the Links with a key, depending on how well they did.
Meets Link(s) at the end of the Taul's Cave, will reward the Links with a key, depending on how well they did.

Four Sword Adventures

File:Great Fairy WW.pngThe Links can randomly find a Great Fairy Pond or Spring inside of dungeons, if you throw an item in, she will return it, but it will instead be the Level 2 version.

Wind Waker

File:Great Fairy WW.pngYou could randomly find Great Fairys scattered across the Great Sea They usually gave Link the ability to carry more of bombs, arrows or money. One doubled your Magic Power.

Minish Cap

There are three Great Fairys, being Butterfly, Mayfly, and Dragonfly. If Link passes their individualized tests, they will reward him with the ability to carry more Rupees, Bombs, and Arrows respectively.

Twilight Princess

There is only one Great Fairy, and she resides inside the Cave of Ordeals. Upon reaching her every 10 levels, she releases regular fairys to one of the Light Spirits springs. Upon reaching the last level, she gives Link a bottle with her tears in it, and promises to give more whenever he runs out at any Light Spirit spring.File:Great Fairy TP.png

Skyward Sword

It is unknown if Great Fairys will be making an appearance in Skyward Sword, but quite possible given how important they have been in the past.
