Goronbi River is a location in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

The Goronbi River is an incredibly hot body of lava, located southwest of Death Mountain. The lava-filled river flows from the Golow River to the north, heading southward and eventually spilling out into the Goronbi Lake. Due to its ash-filled water, no fish-life can survive in the river. However, there are some Fire-Breath Lizalfos that will appear next to some segments of the river.

In the center of the river, there is a portion of a massive skeleton sticking out of the lava, and just to the north of it, there is a skull-shaped monster camp that is engulfed in lava. On top of the camp, Link can step on a small stump, creating a small yellow circle to the south. If he reaches it in time, he will collect a Korok Seed.

At the north end of the river, there is a bridge that crosses over. Link can climb up the wall to the east of the bridge, where he will find an enemy base, which includes numerous Black Moblins.

Tears of the Kingdom

The Goronbi River is the main pathway that leads from the Woodland Stable up through Death Mountain, towards Goron City. With Death Mountain cooling in Tears of the Kingdom, the river is no longer filled with lava and is now a walkable path.

Just east of the river and north of the West Restaurant Cave, there is an enemy camp high above, with several Fire-Breath Lizalfos and a Blue Bokoblin. The chest here contains a Lizal Reaper.

At the south end of the river, near the fork in the road, there is an enemy Aerocuda flying up above, carrying a wooden chest. The chest contains a Ruby gem. A second Aerocuda, this one at the far north end of the river, where the paths connect, has a wooden chest that holds 10 Arrows.

On the west side of the river, a bit up the cliff, there are a pair of Moblins that are guarding a chest that contains an Energizing Elixir. At the northwest end of the river, on a much higher ledge, there is a camp with three Blue Moblin and a Black Moblin. There are three chests here, containing a Rusty Shield, Soldier's Bow, and a Red Rupee. Just east of this camp, on the east side of the pathway up the cliff, a chest is there out in the open, containing five arrows.

Northeast of the river, just as the two paths merge heading towards Goron City, Addison can be found on the side of the road, holding a Hudson Sign. Use a Metal Plate to hold the sign up. As a reward, Addison will give Link a Red Rupee, some Energizing Seafood Rice Balls, and a Sleepover Ticket.

Korok Seeds

  • Just east of the West Restaurant Cave, there is a boulder in the ground. Just up the hill there is a three-pronged wooden pedestal. Grab the boulder and place it on the pedestal to get the Korok Seed.
  • On the west side of the path, there is a Korok trying to reunite with his friend. His friend is way up on the hill. Link can use a Rocket and nearby Metal Plate. Or he can walk south along the path and snake his way up the more easy to navigate cliffs. Reunite the Koroks to get a pair of Korok Seeds.
  • At the northwest end of the Goronbi River, there are some Zonai Ruins against the cliffside. Climb up and you'll find a tiny cave in the cliffside. Use Ascend to get through the tree stump above to get the Korok Seed.
