Gonzo is a character in The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. He is known to be one of Tetra's head pirates. He shows much compassion for Tetra, as he is the only person who came to Outset Island to save her. Gonzo bears a strong resemblance to Alfonzo, a train engineer from Spirit Tracks, which takes place around 100 years after the events of Phantom Hourglass, this is because he is confirmed to be his ancestor.

Phantom Hourglass
Gonzo appears alongside Tetra and their fellow Pirates during the introduction of Phantom Hourglass. The pirates all play a very minor role in the game and after Tetra and Link try to board the Ghost Ship, Gonzo and the rest of the pirates are not seen again until the very end of the game. After Link defeats Bellum, Tetra and Link are reunited with the Pirates on the ship, where they continue their voyage across the sea.
