Golden Octoroks appears in three Zelda games, A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons and The Minish Cap. The Golden Octoroks is more powerful than the normal Octoroks, making them stronger and harder to beat.

The Minish Cap
The Golden Octorock appears in The Minish cap only when a successful kinstone fusion is made. There is a chance that a Golden Octorock will enter the game somewhere in the map. It can shoot multiple rocks at one time making it very challenging to kill. However if one does manage to kill the Golden Octorock the will be rewarded with a great amount of rupees. This makes Golden Octorock fighting very helpful for gathering rupees for expensive items.
