Template:Enemy

Golden Octoroks appear in three Zelda games, A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons and The Minish Cap. The Golden Octoroks are more powerful than normal Octoroks, making them stronger and harder to beat.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

In the re-release on the Gameboy Advance, two Golden Octoroks appear in the Palace of the Four Sword. They are much weaker than their Oracle of Seasons and Minish Cap counterparts, and do not take as many hits to defeat.

Oracle of Seasons

The Golden Octorok in Oracle of Seasons appears after Link speaks with the Old Man in a hidden cave south of Gnarled Root Dungeon. It, along with the Golden Lynel, Golden Moblin, and Golden Darknut, must be slain by Link in order for him to obtain the Red Ring from the Old Man.

It can be found in Spool Swamp during the Summer, usually in the south-western area of the swamp near the water.

The Minish Cap

The Golden Octorock appears in The Minish Cap only when a successful Kinstone fusion is made. There is a chance that a Golden Octorock will enter the game somewhere in the map. It can shoot multiple rocks at one time making it very challenging to kill. However if one does manage to kill the Golden Octorock, they will be rewarded with a great amount of Rupees. This makes Golden Octorock fighting very helpful for gathering Rupees for expensive items.
