In Four Swords, Link can collect small golden Rupee Shards. They are worthless individually, but if Link collects four of them, he will gain a Gold Rupee, which is worth 500 rupees.

In Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, the largest valued rupees are known as "Big Gold Rupees", worth 300 rupees a piece.

Ever since Skyward Sword, the Gold Rupee has maintained a value of 300 rupees, as well as the simple name of Gold Rupee.

In A Link Between Worlds, Gold Rupees are hidden in Treasure Chests around the Overworld and in dungeons, and can also be obtained by completing the Treacherous Tower.

They further appear in Tri Force Heroes, Breath of the Wild and Link's Awakening (Switch).
