A Goddess Wall in the Skyview Temple

Goddess Walls are found in many places throughout Skyward Sword, and can be incredibly useful. They are said to have been left behind by the Goddess herself for the hero of legend.[1] When Link encounters a plethora of Blessed Butterflies flying around a secluded section of a wall, strumming the Goddess's Harp will cause the Goddess Wall to appear. If Link powers up a Skyward Strike, he becomes able to draw on the wall. Once finished, Link is able to draw on them once more after some time passes.[2][3]

The variety of items Link receives corresponds with what he draws. Link must draw the symbol in a single line. If the symbol is not detected, Link only receives three Recovery Hearts.

  1. "From what I have learned, it sounds like these walls were left behind by the goddess for the hero mentioned in legends! The things the hero desires are said to spring forth from behind the walls. That is why they call them goddess walls, I suppose. Hungry to hear more?
Of course! :Sorry..." — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  2. "Over time, the power of the goddess walls is restored! When that happens, I would like your help with my research again!" — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  3. "The magical power of the goddess walls returns after a little time has passed, so come by and help me with my research again sometime, OK?" — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  4. "Arrow in Repose... Ye who yearns to strike targets from afar, draw this shape so that it may be known." — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  5. "Glimmering Hexagon... Ye who seeks great riches, draw this shape so that it may be known." — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  6. "Life's Crimson Vessel... Ye who longs for the source of life, draw this shape so that it may be known. Do so, and from the heavens shall fall a rain of life's essence." — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  7. "Closed Circle... Ye who hungers for destructive force, draw this shape so that it may be known." — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
  8. "...The three... ...ngles... ...the Tri...ce... ...and..." — Gorko, Skyward Sword.
