There are a few gloves that Link can wear throughout all the games, some which can help Link get through temples and areas.
Regular Glove
When Link has his classic green outfit, the green tunic and green elf-like hat the outfit also comes with brown gloves which are just a apart of his outfit. This doesn't help Link get through temples and areas but it does support his hand while he holds the sword, the glove gives him grip because without the glove, Link will probably drop it.
Mogma Gloves
The "Mogma Gloves" only appear in "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" these help Link dig soft soils and he can earn things such as green, blue and red rupees, treasure (usually "Eldin Ore" and recovery hearts (but if you are playing in "hero mode" its likely they won't appear unless you have a "heart medal")
