Strategy

Gleeok is situated at the top of the room, between two patches of spikes. Gleeok will attack Link by shooting fireballs out at him. In order for Link to defeat Gleeok, he must sever both of its heads. Link can do this by using the Sword to attack Gleeok's heads. Link can also use the Roc's Cape to jump out of the way of the flames that Gleeok breathes out. Once the first head is detached, it will fly around the room and attack Link while he attacks the second head. If Link does not sever the second head quickly enough, the first head will reattach and Link will have to sever the head again. After both heads are destroyed, Gleeok will be reduced to a skeleton. Its skeleton will attack by jumping, which will make the ground shake and stun Link for a few seconds, and then charge at Link. For this phase, Link must use the Roc's Cape in order to be off the ground when it stomps to avoid being paralyzed. Link can then move out of Gleeok's way and attack it. Once Link defeats Gleeok, he is rewarded with a Heart Container and the first Essence of Nature, the Fertile Soil.
