The Gilded Sword is a recurring Sword in The Legend of Zelda series.

Majora's Mask

"Your Razor Sword has been strengthened. Now it's a Gilded Sword! Newly forged, your sword is better than ever and will never break!"

— N/A, Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, after the Kokiri Sword has been upgraded to the Razor Sword, Link can have it upgraded again to the Gilded Sword. To do so, Link must obtain Gold Dust by finishing the Goron Race in first-place, then make the payment at the Mountain Smithy before 6:00 AM on the Final Day. If Link is successful, he will leave the Razor Sword at the Smithy, and can come back the next day to receive the Gilded Sword.

The Gilded Sword features a golden blade with a metal frame, leaving three diamond shapes exposing the gold; The grip features the same design (albeit with a red frame), and the sword also features a white pommel and an ornate, metal cross-guard. It deals triple damage compared to the Kokiri Sword, and has a greater reach. In addition, the Gilded Sword will not break after a certain number of slashes or when playing the Song of Time, making the upgrade permanent.
