The Gibdo Mask is one of the 24 Masks in Majora's Mask. It has a grotesque appearance, resembling the face of a Gibdo. It allows Link to become one with the Gibdos and the other undead entities that dwell in the haunted canyon.

Obtaining the Gibdo Mask

Link must first learn the Song of Storms, a tune learned from one of the Composer Brothers, Flat. Now a group of Gibdos will be patrolling the Music Box House atop Ikana Canyon, entrapping Pamela and her father. There seems to be a path where water used to flow, and recently the canyon has come across a drought.

Link can arrive inside the Spring Water Cave. There, Link meets Sharp, the second of the Composer Brothers, who is playing a song that slowly deteriorates Link's health. Only playing the Song of Storms will save him, causing the flow of water to start up once again. The flowing water causes the Music Box House to start cranking out a tune called "Farewell to Gibdos", causing the Gibdos to burn.

The Music Box House will now be open for Link to go inside once Pamela steps outside to scout the scene. When Link sneaks in, he will encounter a strange Gibdo-like being that pops out of the closet. If Link attacks, Pamela will come in and stop him and tell him that the Gibdo-like creature is her father and force him out. If Link plays the Song of Healing, Pamela's Father will return to normal and the Gibdo Mask will come off.

Uses

The Gibdo Mask may be used to communicate with ReDeads and Gibdos. In the Ikana Well, a necessary portion of the main quest, the Gibdo Mask will be needed to trade and barter with the undead that lay within.

The Gibdo Mask may also be used to enter Ikana Canyon in place of the Garo's Mask.

In Majora's Mask 3D, wearing it makes Ancient Fish easier to reel in.
