The '''Giant Buzz Blob''' is a [[Mini-Boss]] in the [[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX|DX version]] of ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening|Link's Awakening]]'' and ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes|Tri Force Heroes]]''. As a larger version of a [[Buzz Blob]] in ''Link's Awakening'', it is one of the two mini-bosses in the [[Color Dungeon]], the other being [[Stone Hinox]].

When [[Link]] enters the room, the Giant Buzz Blob tells him that it is not a weakling, confident that it can defeat Link because it knows his sword will not harm him.{{Ref|LADX|20|Giant Buzz Blob}} It attacks by wandering around the room and trying to hit Link with its body, or it can shoot lightning at him. In order to defeat it, Link can sprinkle [[Magic Powder]] on it, which causes it to shrink into a [[Zol]]-like slime form that can be harmed by sword attacks. In this form, it will jump around and try to land on him. Link must strike at it while in this form, and then repeat this process until it is defeated, which happens upon six hits with the normal sword. In the next room, Link will find the [[Nightmare Key]].

In ''Tri Force Heroes'', the Giant Buzz Blob is called the [[Electric Blob King]], and serves as a mini-boss of the Buzz Blob Cove in the [[Woodlands]] section of the [[Drablands]]. To defeat it, [[Doppels|one Link]] must hit the red core of it four times. It grows, requiring the Links to totem up a story higher. Again hit the red core four times, causing it to grow once more. Hitting the red core four more times as you totem up once more defeats it.

 

Link fights a similar enemy in the Abyss of Agony, known as the [[Electric Blob Queen]].
