Gerudo Desert is a location found in Breath of the Wild. It is located in the southwesternmost part of Hyrule and is home to the Gerudo, who live primarily in Gerudo Town. It is also home to the Great Fairy Tera, who can be found in the southwest corner of the Gerudo Desert by the Gerudo Great Skeleton. The Gerudo Desert is the only place in Hyrule where the Molduga can be found living.

Travelling through the Gerudo Desert during the day requires Heat Resistance Level 2 otherwise Link will lose health. To boost heat resistance, Link can wear the Desert Voe set (purchased at the Gerudo Secret Club or in Tarrey Town once the From the Ground Up side quest has been completed). The Sapphire Circlet, purchased at the Starlight Memories jewelry store in Gerudo Town, also provides heat resistance. At night, temperatures drop so that Cold Resistance Level 2 is required. To boost cold resistance, Link can wear the Snowquill set (purchased at Rito Village). The Ruby Circlet, purchased at the Starlight Memories jewelry store in Gerudo Town, also provides cold resistance. Wearing Sand Boots can help improvement movement through sand, and travelling by Sand Seal is the preferred method for travelling long distances. Trained Sand Seals can be rented in Gerudo Town and untrained Sand Seals can be caught in various places throughout the Gerudo Desert. A shield is required in order to travel by Sand Seal.
