"Symbol of a meeting"

— In-game description.[1]

The Friendship Ring is the very first Magical Ring that Link acquires in either Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages.

When Link first meets up with the jeweler Vasu in Horon Village or Lynna Village, Link will be given the Ring Box along with a Seed Ring. Vasu will then offer to appraise the ring at no cost. This first ring will always be the Friendship Ring.

When worn the Friendship Ring has no effect at all. The purpose of this ring is simply to introduce the ring system to the player, along the with process of appraising and wearing rings.
