This is a list of characters found in Four Swords Adventures.

Major Characters

Link

Link is the main Hero in Four Swords Adventures. After taking the Four Sword, Link is split into four different versions of himself. Link must use his clones to solve puzzles and navigate Hyrule to save Princess Zelda and the Maidens.

Princess Zelda

Princess Zelda is Link's most important friend, trusting him to help make sure things do not take a turn for the worse while strengthening the seal on Vaati. When things turn dark Princess Zelda and the Maidens are captured, and Link embarks on his quest to save them and Hyrule.

Vaati

Vaati is the main villain in Four Swords Adventures, residing in the Four Sword at the beginning of the game. After Shadow Link appears and Link pulls the Four Sword out of its pedestal, Vaati is released back into the world, where Link embarks on his quest to defeat him and save Princess Zelda.

Shadow Link

Shadow Link is a recurring enemy and boss in Four Swords Adventures. His appearance precipitates Link's removal of the Four Sword from its pedestal, beginning his quest to defeat Vaati and save Princess Zelda.

Ganon

Ganon is the final boss of Four Swords Adventures, appearing only in the second half of the game. Originally known as Ganondorf to the Gerudos, he stole the Trident and used its power to become Ganon and start his takeover of Hyrule. He uses Vaati as his pawn to stall Link's quest to save Princess Zelda.

Great Fairy

The Great Fairy is found in various locations throughout the game. She will upgrade any items Link finds to Level 2 status, helping to solve puzzles that were unsolvable with normal items.

Kaepora Gaebora

Kaepora Gaebora is an owl that helps Link on his quest much as he has in previous games. He will give advice on how to play the game, how to complete certain areas, and where to go next.

Knights of Hyrule

The Knight of Hyrule are an elite group of Knights that are tasked with guarding the four Royal Jewels. Due to Vaati's power they were turned into Stalfos and lost control of the land they protected.

Tingle

Tingle is found in the first stage of Whereabouts of the Wind. After Link lifts the rock he is under, Tingle will leave the screen and reappear on any screen where there are force gems lying on the ground. Tingle will float over with his balloon and attempt take the force gems with him to his castle.

Shrine Maidens

Blue Maiden

The Blue Maiden presides over the Eastern Hyrule area of the game. She was locked in Hyrule Castle and guarded by Phantom Ganon.

Yellow Maiden

The Yellow Maiden is the second Maiden rescued by Link. She presides over the Death Mountain region and was held in the Eastern Temple, guarded by Stone Arrghus.

Green Maiden

The Green Maiden is the third Maiden rescued by Link. She was held in the Tower of Flames, guarded by several Dodongos. Where she presides is not specified, but it is assumed to be the next three stages, The Field, The Swamp, and Hyrule Castle.

White Maiden

The White Maiden is the fourth Maiden rescued by Link. She was held in Hyrule Castle, guarded by the Big Poe. She presides over the Forest of Light, now known as the Lost Woods.

Red Maiden

The Red Maiden is the fifth Maiden rescued by Link. She was held in the Temple of Darkness, guarded by Phantom Ganon. She presides over the Desert of Doubt region.

Purple Maiden

The Purple Maiden is the sixth Maiden rescued by Link. She was held in the Pyramid, guarded by the Big Moldorm. She presides over the Frozen Hyrule region.

Seeker's Guild

Leader

The Leader is the head of the Seeker's Guild in the Village of the Blue Maiden. Once Link finds him in a house on the top-left screen he will give Link the mission of finding the other members and learning what they found out about the town's problems. After meeting up with the members, the Leader will then give Link the Shovel to help him progress.

Doorman

The Doorman guards the doorway entrance where the Leader of the Seeker's Guild presides. He pretends to be first in line so no one can enter and nag the Leader.

Secret Agent One

Secret Agent One is one of the members of the Seeker's Guild. Dressed in green, he can be found on the top-left screen, slightly to the left of the Leader's house. He will give the first clue to Link: "the six".

Secret Agent Two

Secret Agent Two is one of the members of the Seeker's Guild. Dressed in red, he can be found on the bottom-left screen. He will give Link the second clue: "Deeply connected to the village".

Secret Agent Three

Secret Agent Three is one of the members of the Seeker's Guild. Dressed in blue, he can be found on the top-middle screen. He will give Link the third clue: "Protect".

Secret Agent Four

Secret Agent Four is one of the members of the Seeker's Guild. Dressed in purple, he can be found on the bottom-right screen. He will give Link the fourth clue: "beautiful".

Boyfriend

"Boyfriend" as he is known, is a character found in the Village of the Blue Maiden. Before Link reaches the stage, Boyfriend and Sweetie had a fight, and both were transported to the Dark World by Iris. After giving Boyfriend Sweetie's Letter, he will give Link the Roc's Feather.

Deku Scrub

Deku Scrubs can be found in the Lost Woods stage. They serve Ganon and do his work, transporting various items around the Woods. Many Deku Scrubs can be found in the stage, but only three are named: Decci, Dekki, and Deppi.

Queen of Fairies

The Queen of Fairies, as she is known in-game, is found in the first Hyrule Castle stage. After coming to the Castle she was split into two River Zoras. After Link reunites the two bodies, she will help Link remove a barrier and let the other Great Fairies know to help out the Links across Hyrule.

Gerudo

Gerudos appear in the Desert of Doubt region. They live in a small village souther of the Desert.

Goron

Gorons appear in the third level, Death Mountain. Their lives are disrupted when the Helmaroc King decides to make a nest on top of Death Mountain, attacking the Gorons and destroying the land with the help of Shadow Link.

Child Goron

Goron Children also appear in the Death Mountain region. Their lives are disrupted when the Helmaroc King decides to make a nest on top of Death Mountain, attacking the Gorons and destroying the land with the help of Shadow Link.

Iris

Iris is a novice magician found in the Village of the Blue Maiden. While practicing her magic, she loses her magic book and transports a house into the Dark World, causing more problems to the already burdened Village.

Mage

Mages appear in the Village of the Blue Maiden. They are very vocal in their support of Vaati, but often help Link by giving him advice and by sometimes giving him Moon Pearls.

Malon

Malon appears in The Field stage of Near the Fields. She is lost on her way back home, and needs the help of Link to find her way back.

Old Man

Old Men appear in Four Swords Adventures as spirits that will give Link advice on how to use his counterparts to progress. Sometimes they will give helpful information, but other times it is simply nonsense.

Old Timer

The Old Timer is a man found in Kakariko Village. Before Link arrives his wife died and he lives in his house, lonely and unhappy.

Sweetie

Sweetie is a character found in the Village of the Blue Maiden. Before Link arrives she had a fight with her Boyfriend, and was then transported to the Dark World by Iris. She spends her time crying very loudly, depressed that she can't see her boyfriend.

Talon

Talon appears in The Field along with her daughter Malon.His influence is minimal, and after Malon arrives back home he will allow Link to use his horses to move around.
