The Forsaken Fortress is a dungeon that is visited multiple times in The Wind Waker.
Dungeon overview first time
In the first visit, Link tries to rescue his sister, Aryll, and enlists the help of Tetra and her pirate crew. Since the fortress is heavily guarded by Bokoblins with searchlights and patrolling Miniblins and Moblins, they can't get their pirate ship close enough to drop you off there. Instead, they decide to shoot you out of a cannon inside a barrel, successfully getting you into the fortress but also making you lose your sword and smash into a wall
First Visit: Stealth
In order to get to the room where Aryll is being kept without Link's sword, Link must stealthily go around the fortress, taking out the searchlights one by one and avoiding any Miniblins or Moblins. Once he finally retrieves his sword and gets to Aryll's room however, the giant bird, the Helmaroc King takes Link and throws him into the sea, after showing him to his leader, Ganondorf.
Dungeon overview 2nd time
Later in the game, when Link is more experienced, he returns to the Forsaken Fortress to finally save his little sister. This time he has The Master Sword
Second Visit: Assault
He has no problem defeating Phantom Ganon and gets the Skull Hammerand getting back to the room where his sister is. When he gets to Aryll's room, Tetra and her pirates surprise him and take Aryll back to their ship, leaving Link to fight and finally defeat the Helmaroc King. After he is defeated, Link attempts to kill Ganondorf, but since the Master Sword has lost its power, he is unable to do at that time.
Helmaroc King
The first phase of this fight is just climbing up the room were Aryll was captured because the room is filling up with water.After you get to the top of the room the Helmroc King will be up there trying to stop you just use the skull hammer and hits its beak t finish the first phase. The second phase of this fight actually has you doing damage to the bird. The helmaroc king will try to flap his wings to push you into the spickes he will try to rush past you at high speed, he will also land and try to peck you if Link doges one of his pecks he will be stuck this is the time to use your hammer to hammer away his mask. After you brake off his mask it revels his weak spot his head just wait for him to get stuck again and swing your sword at him repeat the process till his is finished. Just grab the heart container and head up to Ganon romm enter there to end the dungeon
