Floor Spikes are recurring traps in The Legend of Zelda series. They are often used to impede Link's progress through a dungeon. In some cases, they just block Link's path, while in others, Link can walk over the spikes, but he will lose health.

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, Floor Spikes are found in the Water Temple, often used as a restriction, preventing you from passing unless Link has acquired the Longshot or adjusted the water level.
