Fledge is one another of the residents of Skyloft, and a fellow student of Link's at the Knight Academy.

Appearance and Personality

A seemingly shy guy, Fledge seems to be a bit of a push-over. He spends his time idolizing Link, and often mentions how he would like to be more like our hero.

Role in the Plot

You first meet Fledge in the Academy, where he's attempting to move some barrels for the cook. He's such a weakling, he can't do it by himself. If you choose to help him, there's a 20 rupee reward, and of course Fledge's thanks.

Early in the game, Fledge overhears Groose and his friends scheming to steal Link's Bird. He gets caught, and he is forced to stay quiet. Once approached after finding Groose bragging about the theft, Fledge admits to his knowledge, and directs Link to their hiding place.

Side Quests

If you go to Fledge's room in the Knight Academy at night, you can find him doing push-ups. He complains of not having enough stamina. Bringing him two of the Stamina Potion will lead to him giving you 5 gratitude crystals.

After completing the first side quest and receiving the bow, head back to the Knight Academy. You can find Fledge standing around the entrance Sparring Hall. He'll mention how much he's been working out, now he's able to do over 3000 push-ups! Upon noticing your new bow, he'll ask if you'd show him how good you are with it by hitting the pumpkins that he'll toss using his new found strength for just 20 rupees. Hitting pumpkins will net you 10 points, with the number of points increasing with each consecutive pumpkin. Less than 400 points will net you 50 rupees, 400-599 points will get you a treasure to help upgrade your gear, and 600+ points will get you a piece of heart!
