The Fireshield Earrings are one of the four rewards for completing a Silent Realm in Skyward Sword. If Link manages to avoid Guardians, Waking Water, and Watchers in Din's Silent Realm and collects all Sacred Tears, he will be granted the Fireshield Earrings as his reward. The Fireshield Earrings are red hoop-like earrings that seem to have flames coming off of them. Living up to their name quite literally, the Fireshield Earrings shield Link from fire and extreme heat. If Link comes in contact with fire, he will still be hurt, but he will not stay on fire and have to roll on the ground, walk in water , or do a spin attack as previously. When Link enters a place of extreme heat, the earrings will flash red, symbolizing that they are now protecting him from the heat. The Fireshield Earrings are necessary to get through the Volcano Summit. Before Link has the Fireshield Earrings, he wears a plain blue pair.
