Faron Province
The Faron Province is one of the six provinces located in Twilight Princess. The Faron Province later appears in Skyward Sword as one of the three main provinces/regions of the surface. It consists of mostly Faron Woods and the southern part of Hyrule Field. The Faron Province is named after the two guardians, Faron the Light Spirit and Faron the Dragon.

Within Twilight Princess, Faron is one of 6 provinces in the game and In Twilight Princess the Faron Province is located towards the south of Hyrule and it is mainly comprised of forest terrain.
During the events of Twilight Princess, Link first enters the Faron Woods after Talo goes off in pursuit of the Monkey who had previously stole the Uli's cradle. In this sequence Link will briefly pass through the southern Faron Province, you will receive the Lantern as well as having to engage combat with Deku Babas. When continuing on threw the cave Link will go threw the northern section where he will have find the key to gain further access towards the Forest Temple. Once reaching the entrance of the Forest Temple, you see Talo and the monkey in a cage with a bokoblin guarding the area.
Later on in the first section of the game Link will have to restore light to the Faron Province, as now the Shadow Beasts have took the light from the light spirit Faron. Link is tasked with capturing the 16 Tears of Light by Ordona. Once the Vessel of Light has been restored Link now appears in his original form and Ordona informs him about the darkness within the Forest Temple.
Other plot points where Link will have to return to the Faron Province include when he has to find a broken section of the bridge for him to continue onto Eldin Province. Link will also have to return to this province when Zant has set a curse menaing Link is now stuck in his wolf form and Zelda has tasked him with finding the Master Sword. This is the key to breaking the curse and it his hidden deep with the Faron Forest in a place known as the Sacred Grove. Further on in the game Rusl tells Link about a mysterious temple within the Sacred Grove known as the Temple of Time.
