Fanadi's Palace is a fortune-telling house[1] in Twilight Princess. This location is situated within Castle Town, more specifically, on the Castle Town South Road. It is positioned beside Agitha's Castle, and is a completely optional location. Inside, Fanadi, the owner, offers to give Link his fortune in exchange for 10 Rupees.[2]
Services
Once Link accepts the service, Fanadi offers Link two different types of fortunes,[3][4] the first being called, "Career".[4] If Link selects this fortune, Fanadi gives Link hints on where he should go next regarding his quest. The second type of fortune is called, "Love".[4] This option makes Fanadi show Link a picture of specific location in the overworld. In this location there lies an unclaimed Piece of Heart. After showing Link the image, Fanadi says, "Goooo to the spot that you've just seen...and do...something."[5]
If the only remaining Pieces of Heart are ones that Link cannot collect yet, either due to lack of an item or the location being currently unaccessible, Fanadi says that the image in the crystal ball is hazy,[6] and suggests to Link that love is still where he cannot reach.[7] She returns the fortune fee if this happens.[8] If Link selects the "Love" fortune and has already collected all the Pieces of Heart, Fanadi states that the crystal ball shows an image of Link,[9] which she explains that he has now already found all the love the crystal can see.[10] She refunds the fortune fee in this scenario.[11]
Trivia
- There is a woman outside Fanadi's Palace who flirts with Link, saying Fanadi told her a man wanting to date her would talk to her right outside the shop.[12] However, she turns Link down, saying he is not her "type".[13]
- The sign outside of Fanadi's Palace says, "The Fortune-Telling Mansion FANADI'S PALACE".[14]
- If Link selects the "Career" fortune from Fanadi in Fanadi's Palace, Fanadi looks into her crystal ball and says, "Tuoba gniklat i ma tahw... Tuoba gniklat i ma tahw...".[15] This is "what am i talking about" backwards.
- If Link selects the "Love" fortune from Fanadi in Fanadi's Palace, Fanadi looks into her crystal ball and says, "Elihwa sekat gnidaol... tiaw... Elihwa sekat gnidaol... tiaw..."[16] This is "wait... loading takes awhile..." backwards.
