Eldin is a character who makes an appearence in Twilight Princess. It is likely that Eldin is named after Din, the Goddess of Power.
Eldin is one of the four Light Spirits and takes form of a bird. Just like the other three, its region is named after him. After you collect the 16 tears of light in Kakariko Village, he will show his true form. It reveals to Link that Ilia is in Lanayru Province.
