The East Deplian Badlands are a location found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

The East Deplian Badlands are located just north of the Eldin Mountains, at the northernmost end of Hyrule. Given its rather close proximity to Death Mountain, the area is under constant sunshine, and experiences fairly warm weather. The entire area is barren, with neither inhabitants nor travelers, and even very few monsters.

A White-Maned Lynel can be found patrolling the area, wielding a Savage Lynel Sword, a Savage Lynel Shield and a Savage Lynel Bow.

Climb inside of the skeleton's north-facing eye socket, burn or slash away the leaves, then pick up the rock underneath.

Destroy the leaves, then pick up the rock.

Complete the rock formation using a nearby stone. It is in a clump of bushes to the east as you head to the Lynel. Stasis should help you see it.

Complete the rock circle using the rock in the direction of the gap in the circle.

Stand next to the pinwheel atop the tree and shoot all 5 of the balloons.

Climb the tree, stand near the pinwheel, and shoot the 5 balloons hiding behind nearby objects.

Tears of the Kingdom

The East Deplian Badlands are located northeast of the Thyphlo Ruins, north of the Eldin Mountains, and northwest of Death Mountain. At the east end of the region, the Eldin Great Skeleton can be found, with its massive bone structure still intact.

In the centre of the region, there is a Bokoblin camp with multiple Blue Bokoblins, a Black Bokoblin, and an Aerocuda. When all the enemies are defeated, a chest containing a Knight's Claymore will unlock.

Just west of the Mayak Shrine, there are some large ruins that fell from the Sky. Ascend can be used to climb up and open the treasure chest here to receive five Steering Sticks.

Korok Seed

  • A Korok can be found at the end of the tail of the Eldin Great Skeleton. Simply examine the fairy lights to get the Korok Seed.

Mayak Shrine

Main article: Mayak Shrine

The Mayak Shrine can be found right out in the open in the middle of the East Deplian Badlands. Titled, Timely Catches, the shrine requires Link to hit switches with precise timing to open gates ahead. The shrine has a single treasure chest which contains a Large Zonai Charge.
