Dueling Peaks

The Dueling Peaks is a region in Breath of the Wild that encompasses all of the land that is uncovered when Link places the Sheikah Slate in the pedestal atop the Dueling Peaks Tower.

Mountain Range

The area is identified by its most prominent landmark, the Dueling Peaks Mountain Range. The pair of mountains has a narrow divide in between them where there is a road, right alongside the Squabble River. At one point in time, the Dueling Peaks were a single mountain, but were split into two by a dragon god living in Hyrule to help forge a way through. Now the area is split into the North Dueling Peaks and South Dueling Peaks.

Atop the two mountain peaks, there are two sister shrines, the Shee Vaneer Shrine and Shee Venath Shrine. These two shrines and their corresponding monks are mirrored versions of one another, requiring Link to enter one of them first to find the solution to the other.
