Digdogger (Disambiguation)

In The Legend of Zelda, Digdogger appears as the Boss of the fifth dungeon in the game, The Lizard. Before engaging in this fight, Link can meet up with the Old Man in a certain room taht's in this dungeon. Here, the Old Man will tell Link the secret to defeating the Digdogger. He says, "DIGDOGGER HATES CERTAIN KIND OF SOUND".[1] Link can use this information by using the Recorder during the fight against Digdogger to signifigantly weaken it. After defeating him, Link is rewarded with a Heart Container and the fifth Triforce Shard.

Later on in the game, Link will meet up with Digdogger a second time, this time in Level 7: The Demon. This time, Digdogger does not appear as the boss; it appears as the Mini-Boss. Link will fight Digdogger a total of three times in this dungeon. The first battle is exactly the same as the one from Level 5. However, the final two are slightly different. After Link plays the Recorder, Digdogger will not spilt into two mini-digdogger, like before, but it will spilt into three. Link must kill all three mini-digdoggers to claim victory.

Oracle of Seasons

Digdogger is the boss of the fifth dungeon, Unicorn's Cave. He looks like a big, hairy eyeball with six short legs. During the battle, he will jump around the room trying to land on top of you. You must equip your Magnetic Gloves. There is a spiked ball in a corner of the room, and you need to use your gloves to push and pull it around the room, being careful not to let it hit you as it will damage you a little. You have to hit Digdogger with it a few times. After he has been hit enough times, he will split into many smaller versions of himself that will run erratically around the room, only hurting you if you come into contact with one of them. You can hit each one with the spiked ball to make it disappear. After a short time, Digdogger will reform and you will need to separate him again. Once all of the mini Digdoggers have been destroyed, Digdogger will be defeated.
