Dexivine is an enemy in The Wind Waker. It is found in the Forbidden Woods and in the Wind Temple, specifically grassy areas. They are long purple tentacles that hide underground. When Link approaches them, they rise up and attempt to grab him. If they succeed, they will drain Link's magic, although they won't damage him. If Link struggles enough, he can escape. Link can cut these tentacles off, but they grow back shortly after, and will continue to grow back no matter how many times Link cuts them. Since they cannot be defeated, it is best to cut them apart and proceed before they grow back, or to avoid them entirely.
