Debirandos are worm-like enemies with large pincers that live in the [[Desert Palace]]. They create a sinkholes in the desert sand that can sucks [[Link]] in if he gets too close. If Link gets caught in the sinkhole, he have to kill that Debirando to escape. Debirandos behavior are similar to the [[Leever]]s which can rise out and retreat back beneath the desert sand. But unlike Leevers, they stay on the spot where they are.

There are two variation of Debirandos, blue and red. Both Debirandos can surface and retreat beneath the sand. But, Red Debirandos able to spit three fireballs over a long distance each time they surface. Link can kill these enemies by striking it with his sword when they are above ground. But, Link must be very careful and not to gets caught in the sinkhole because it can cause a lot of damage. Link also can use [[Ice Rod]] to kill these enemies from a distance.
