The Demon Train is arguably one of the largest bosses [[Link]] faces in the game. Although it isn't very tall, it has a massive horizontal length. It is much larger than the [[Spirit Train]] and has two cars attached to the end of the engine. At the front of the train is a dark grey face with a red nose. Despite the Demon Train being a vehicle, it does seem to be semi-sentient with facial expressions, grunts, and roars which might conclude that it is some kind of evil spirit or being in the form of a locomotive.

Boss Fight

There are three stages to the boss fight with the Demon Train. Link must use the cannon of the Spirit Train to destroy the Demon Train. The fight takes place on four sets of train tracks. The Demon Train uses up two sets of tracks while Link uses the other two for the Spirit Train. The Demon Train occasionally switches between the two sets of tracks; to avoid hitting it, Link must put the Spirit Train in reverse to slow it down. During this battle, Link cannot come to a full stop in the Spirit Train, only change speeds (with reverse being the slowest). On some parts of the track there are dark fires that damage the Spirit Train if not avoided by Link.

During the first part of the boss fight, the Demon Train drops explosive barrels out of the sides of it's last car to hit the Spirit Train. Link must blast these barrels with the cannon before they drop out in order to cause damage to the Demon Train. Once Link damages the Demon Train enough, the last car falls off from the rest of the train.

In the second phase of the fight, Link must destroy the Demon Train's second car. On this car, the Demon Train has four laser cannons that fire at the Spirit Train. Link must shoot each cannon twice to damage the second part of the Demon Train and break it off from the engine.

The final phase of the fight consist of Link facing off with the engine of the Demon Train. The engine (the very front part of the train) has multiple rotating lasers that all fire simultaneously. Link has to shoot each crystal that is producing the lasers. After this is done, he can proceed to shoot at the Demon Train's face at the front of the engine. Once this process is repeated, the Demon Train is defeated and Link enters his fight with Chancellor Cole.
