Deku Nuts are items in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. The nut is harvested from the Great Deku Tree, and can be used to temporarily stun enemies.[1][2] When thrown, a Deku Nut explodes, releasing a blinding light which stuns much weaker enemies. Deku Nuts are ineffective against bosses and armored enemies; however, they can also be used by both child and adult Link. Deku Nuts are also cheap to purchase, and are sold in virtually every store. They can also be found by killing most Deku Babas.

Super Smash Bros. series
First appearing in the Super Smash Bros. series in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Grounded characters hit by one are stunned, leaving them open to attack. Airborne characters take damage and are launched, possibly being KO'd in the process.
