The Deku Mask is the first transformation mask that Link obtains in Majora's Mask. After being transformed into a Deku Scrub by Skull Kid, Link is taught the Song of Healing by the Happy Mask Salesman and transforms the Deku Scrub's soul into this mask. The mask is very helpful and required to beat the Woodfall Temple. While wearing the mask, Link will use a the Deku Tuba instead of the Ocarina of Time.

It is implied that the spirit within the Deku Mask is the missing son of the Deku Butler.

Abilities

When Link wears the mask, he is transformed into a Deku Scrub. In this form he can skip across water three times before falling in. His sword is replaced with a spin attack which is much faster than normal walking. He can also shoot a bubble from the Deku's about, but it uses up magic power from his Magic Meter. Link can hold it at full charge but it will still deplete magic once he lets go. Deku Link is also able to enter Deku Flowers and then jump out of them, launching high into the air. Link can then temporarily fly using leaves as propellers. While flying, Deku Link can drop Deku Nuts onto enemies below.
