Darunia Lake is a lava lake in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Lava flows into Darunia Lake from Death Mountain via Lake Darman - although the boundary between the two lakes is not well-defined, it appears to be around the chain of islands which form the Abandoned North Mine and the Isle of Rabac. Darunia Lake itself flows into the Golow River.

Tears of the Kingdom

Darunia Lake can be found just northwest of Goron City, and just west of the YunoboCo HQ. Once filled with lava, the area has cooled down and solidified, with Link now freely able to walk across the surface.

Directly west of YunoboCo HQ, some Gloom Spawn will appear when Link is in the area. Link is able to climb up some fallen ruins in the area and wait until the surface weather causes the gloom to dissipate.

To the northwest of the lake, there is a Cherry Tree. If Link drops a fruit in the offering plate, a Satori will appear, showing the locations of some of the nearby caves. Even further to the northwest, along the main path and down the cliff, Link will find Addison holding a Hudson Sign. He can use the nearby Metal Plates to hold up the sign. Addison will reward Link with a Red Rupee, some Scorching Meaty Rice Balls, and a Bomb Flower.

Just to the west of the Isle of Rabac, a Koltin Balloon can be found, where Koltin runs the Fang and Bone shop. The shop will only appear at nighttime.

At the far southeast end of the lake, there is a chest with a Spiny-Bone Spear.

Korok Seeds

  • West of YunoboCo HQ, there are some fissures in the ground leading down into a canyon. Down below there is a rock arrangement with two missing rocks. Place the rocks in the missing spots to get the Korok Seed.
  • North of YunoboCo HQ, right along the main path, there is a ramp sloped downward. Underneath the ramp there is a bottle hanging. Shoot it with an arrow to get the Korok Seed.
