Daira are powerful humanoid alligators that appear in The Adventure of Link.

The Adventure of Link
Dairas are enemies that wield powerful axes that can easily slice through Link's shield.[1][2][3] They can be found in Western Hyrule. Dairas come in two variations.
Orange Daira
Orange Daira charge Link on sight swinging their axe continuously. Link must time his attack in between swings to avoid damage. The Reflect Spell will strengthen his shield enough to repel the monster's weapon.
Red Daira
Red Dairas are more powerful than their orange counterparts. Instead of charging forward, they throw a limitless stream axes at Link. As with the Orange Daira, Link's shield cannot block the projectiles, except with the Reflect Spell. Downward Thrusts are recommended against these enemies. In order to defeat this formidable foe, Link must leap over the flying axes and quickly strike before another can be thrown. Recklessly charging without paying heed to the Daira's attacks is almost always fatal.

A Link to the Past

In A Link to the Past there is a similar looking enemy known as a Zazakku. Zazakku come in two color forms, Red and Blue. Both of them are quite dangerous, but the Red ones have the ability to shoot fireballs out towards Link.
