Crayk

Crayk, Bane of Courage is the Boss of the third temple in Phantom Hourglass, the Temple of Courage. It is a large sandcrab, with only a little bits of its head sticking out from inside its shell.

Strategy

Avoid contact with Crayk and his little minions, the Crayklings. Observe the top screen to avoid Crayk's movements. This is a very unique scenario for the Zelda world.

During the first phase when you observe Crayk approaching, stop and aim your bow. A shot will stun him and make the boss visible. Slash away with his shell with your sword.

During the second phase Crayk sheds his shell. Merely approach him and slash at his weak blue spot in order to triumph.

Reward

The player is rewarded with a Heart Container.
