Breath of the Wild

The Cliffs of Ruvara are a gradual incline of cliffs, leading up to the Gerudo Summit to the south. The cliffs span quite the distance, with the higher elevations being a bit colder, requiring Link to wear some armor with Cold Resistance. There are gradual slopes at various parts of the cliffs, allowing Link to climb up to the top of the Gerudo Highlands.

Along the lower elevations of the cliffs, there are many man-made wooden platforms that Link can walk across. Several of these have been overrun with enemies, including some Blue Bokoblin, Black Bokoblin, and some Blue Moblins. They often have rocks or explosive barrels and will toss them down at Link, if he's trying to climb up the cliffs.

At the northwest part of the cliffs, on one of the lower elevations, heading towards Lake Illumeni, there is a treasure chest that contains a Radiant Shield. It is being protected by a Blue Bokoblin archer who wields some Shock Arrows.

Cliffside Etchings

At the far west part of the Cliffs of Ruvara, looking towards the Mystathi's Shelf, there is a strange etching on the wall with thunderbolt symbols on it. This is part of the Cliffside Etchings shrine quest, which is given to Link by Geggle at the Tabantha Bridge Stable. Link will need to shoot the center of the pedestal that is on the wall with a Shock Arrow. This will cause the Keeha Yoog Shrine to appear, completing the quest. The actual shrine is just a blessing shrine, so Link can just speak with Keeha Yoog to get a Spirit Orb.

Tears of the Kingdom

The Cliffs of Ruvara are a wide spanning area, which increase in elevation as they head southward towards the Gerudo Summit. The higher elevations to the south are much colder and will require Cold Resistance in order for Link to surive.

At the south end of the cliffs, at the higher elevation, there are some fallen Zonai Ruins. On one side, Link can pull out some Ruins Rubble to get inside. From here he can access a chest which contains five Arrows.

Korok Seeds

  • At the east end of the Vatorsa Snowfield, there is a Korok who wants to reunite with his friend, who is way down the slope to the north. Link can attach the Korok to the nearby Sled and also use a Steering Stick, but it might send the Korok overboard. It's slow, but it's a safe walk to reunite the Koroks to get a pair of Korok Seeds.
