Claree is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Claree is the enthusiastic shop owner of Enchanted, the Armor Shop that can be found within Kakariko Village. When Link first arrives, he is welcomed by Claree, who will suggest the Stealth Chest Guard to Link, stating that it make Link's footsteps soundless, making it perfect for hunting. Its downside is that it offers very little defense.[1] All the items in the store are part of the Claree Collection. These items were all personally picked out by Claree using her flawless fashion sense. They all have unique features and abilities, in which Claree highly recommends everything that is for sale.[2][3]

Link can sell virtually anything to Claree and she will respond differently each time. It doesn't matter what Link sells, or the quantity, as the responses are random. Link can sell the same item twice in a row and it may elicit a different response. She might be shocked, thrilled, feel lucky, or express how much she wanted that particular item.[4][5][6][7] After Link sells an item to her, she'll proclaim that she'll buy practically anything from Link.[8][9][10][11]

Tears of the Kingdom

Claree runs the Enchanted Armor Shop, found in Kakariko Village. When Link first visits the shop, Claree is sleepy and very exhausted. Nanna is sick, and Claree and her sister Lasli are having to take care of her. Unfortunately the treatment for their grandmother is expensive and it has caused Claree to have to up the prices at the Enchanted armor shop. Each piece of armor is priced at 5,000 Rupees a piece.[12] Eventually Claree pulls it together and welcomes Link more properly to the shop.[13] She comments that while they don't off Cece-branded fashion, the armor shop here serves both style and quality.[14]

Claree talks about the Cece Brand fashion, which is a phenomenon all over Hyrule. The brand originated in Hateno Village and Claree hopes that her sister can go there to study fashion.[15] Claree mentions that her sister was suppose to be out studying there by now, but she had to put her dreams on hold in order to take care of their grandmother.[16]

Gloom-Borne Illness

Main article: Gloom-Borne Illness

After speaking with Claree's sister Lasli, this will begin the Gloom-Borne Illness quest. Link will need to cook some Sunny Veggie Porridge and give it to Lasli. Lasli will then give the food to her Nanna, which will cause her to recover and get out of bed.

After giving her the meal, Claree returns home and is surprised that Nanna is up and about.[17] She knew her sister was trying to come up with a meal to help her grandmother, but she was amazed that it actually worked.[18]

Now that Nanna is healed, Lasli will head off to chase her dreams at becoming a fashion designer in Hateno Village, while Claree stays back to run the Enchanted clothing store.[19] While Claree also would love to study fashion, she has a passion of making Enchanted a success and hopes to oneday have it stocked from wall to wall with clothing.[20] Claree will then head back to the shop, where she will lower the prices back down to more customer friendly amounts.[21]

  12. "... Huh? Oh, uh... Weclome. Sorry. I must have drifted off. I'm just so tired lately. *sigh* Look, I know it won't help to talk about it, but I'm gonna do it anyway. My grandmother's really sick. I'm running the shop while my little sister, Lasli, is looking after her. We're sort of getting by... But we're both so exhausted. I'm sorry about this, but we really need money for Grandmother's treatment. I've had to hike up the prices on everything we have in stock. It's just for now though. As soon as Grandmother is healthy again, I can set our prices back to normal. Ugh, I know I shouldn't bring my home situation into the shop with me..." — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  13. "It's nice to get it off my chest, but I probably shouldn't have dumped all that on a customer... OK, time to salvage my professionalism." — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  14. "I'm so sorry about that. Allow me to welcome you to Enchanted! Anyway... You can't get your hands on Cece-brand fashion unless you go southeast to Hateno Village. But why go there when you can meet all your fashion needs right here? We serve both style AND quality!" — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  15. "The Cece brand is a fashion phenomenon that's getting attention all over Hyrule. I can't believe such a hot brand came out of Hateno Village in Necluda. I hope my sister can go there to study fashion, but... With our situation at home... Well." — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  16. "You see, my garndmother's sick in bed with a strange illness, and my little sister, Lasli, volunteered to take care of her. Lasli was supposed to be studying fashion out southeast in Hateno Village by now... But she loves our grandmother so much that she's put her dreams on hold." — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  17. "Grandmother?! What are you doing up?!" — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  18. "Hold on. You're doing this much better... after one bowl of porridge?! I guess I knew that was Lasli's plan, but I'm still amazed it actually worked." — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  19. "You can't get anything by her, Lasli. Besides, everyone knows studying fashion in Hateno Village is your dream! Grandmother and I can take care of Enchanted by ourselves—trust me. You deserve this." — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  20. "Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't... But there's something else I want more. I want to make Enchanted a success, right here in my beloved Kakariko Village, right next to my beloved grandmother. And... I dream of someday filling our store wall to wall with outfits you designed, Lasli! So don't worry about me. Go study hard in Hateno Village, and come back to us a fashion icon!" — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
  21. "Well, now that Grandmother's all better, I think it's time I head back to the shop. I've got to make sure our prices are back to normal and everything's ready for our customers. You should come by Enchanted, yourself!" — Claree, Tears of the Kingdom
