Upon awakening here Wolf Link first tries to move around break the shackle on his left paw, but to no avail, however just when it seems there was no hope Midna appeared before him. She smiled mischievously and soon Wolf Link found himself staring at her face to face as she had somehow entered his cell, in response he growls at her but she is far from intimidated and states that she wants to help him. Calming down now, Wolf Link stops growling and lets her help him, at first she taunts him about not being a human anymore but she laughs when he barks at her and soon uses her Twilight Magic to break the chain that bound him to the ground there. Midna then stated that she’d tell him where he was if he managed to get out of the cell, and after breaking a crate nearby, Wolf Link managed to locate some soft dirt and dug out of his prison. Midna laughed a little after he got out, and as Wolf Link looked around he soon found the imp girl riding on his back, not exactly happy about this he barked at her and tried to shake her off but Midna stayed put and stated that she’d help him so long as he did exactly what she said. Having no better choice, Wolf Link went with it and the two of them slowly navigated through these sewers. More or less this is in a way the tutorial of how to use the basic abilities Link only has in his Wolf form, as Midna informs you about such things throughout the area. Eventually after climbing up a large spiraling staircase the two make it outside and Wolf Link saw that they were previously in the sewers connecting Castle Town and Hyrule Castle, as the spirit of a soldier outside stated his dismay at what had happened to their Castle, Midna laughs at this though and stated that was not the person she wanted Link to meet.

Through the help of Telma's Cat, Wolf Link was able to sneak into the sewers again later in the game when Midna is in a very weak state, however upon sneaking through the upper area of Telma's Bar the duo have their first encounter with the Imp Poes present in the game. He then opens up the entrance to the sewers present in his house and tell Wolf Link that if he ever wants to visit him he can just big in a certain spot outside his house, currently due to it being raining this was impossible though. Link jumps down into this opening and find himself back into the sewers now, unlike the first visit it’s no shrouded in Twilight though, and after opening another gate the two of them continue to flow down the waterway they fell into. In the next part of the sewers Wolf Link burned some webs and lit a few torches, all the time he also had to take out some Skulltulas, Keese, and Bulblins. After this he found a spot to dig into and eventually Wolf Link had to once again climb up the large spiraling stair case, but with Bulblins positioned all over it now, this time certainly proved more troublesome. After taking out these Bulblins and cautiously crossing some ropes, Wolf Link managed to get to the top and soon found himself on the bridge leading to Zelda’s tower.

Having no better choice, Wolf Link obliges and the two of them slowly navigate through the sewers. Through the help of Telma's Cat, Wolf Link is able to sneak into the sewers again later in the game when Midna is in a very weak state, however upon sneaking through the upper area of Telma's Bar the duo have their first encounter with the Imp Poes present in the game.
