Captain Keeta, also known as Skull Keeta, is a character that appears in Majora's Mask.[1] Located within the Ikana Graveyard, this large Stalchild is at first seen sleeping soundly and needs to be awoken by Link through the use of the Sonata of Awakening.[2][3] Once Link plays this song and wakes up the sleeping skeleton, Captain Keeta breaks the archway he was previously resting below and begins to walk the other way, and this in turn initiates the battle between him and Link.

Battle

Considering Captain Keeta starts things off by walking away, in a way this battle is also a race, for if Link can't keep up, he'll likely have to wake up the large Stalchild another time and try again. Link should quickly equip the Bunny Hood to ensure he can keep up with the large Stalchild, and after taking out some lesser Salchildren and de-activating the fiery force fields that get in his way, he gets close enough to hack away at the skeletal captain's legs. In response, Captain Keeta turns around and begins to swipe at Link and even tries to drop on him from above at times. Link should use the bow to stun the large Stalchild and then slash at him with the sword.

Captain Keeta may be really difficult or he can be extremely easy depending on the circumstances of Link's encounter with him. The easiest method in slowing him down, which is the biggest issue with the battle is simply striking him with several ice arrows. The ice arrows slow him down considerably allowing Link to quickly catch up. He attempts to strike Link with his hand, and this attack cannot easily be blocked but only avoided. His other method of attack involves him leaping into the air and attempting to fall down on top of Link. Link can use the sword when his defenses are down or continue striking him with arrows or even bombs; regardless, Link soon gets Captain Keeta to admit defeat.[4][5][6][7][8][9] After this, the captain explains things to Link and before being put to rest rewards him with the Captain's Hat.
