The Beggar is a character that appears in Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. There are actually two beggars in Ocarina of Time, but one doesn't beg; it is merely homeless. In Majora's Mask, there is no beggar TECHNICALLY, but instead the Bank Teller with the same design as the beggar from Ocarina of Time.

The Buyer is a character in Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Time
When Link is a child, the Buyer appears in Hyrule Castle Town, near the Bombchu Bowling Alley. When Link is an adult, the Buyer appears in Kakariko Village, near the Bazaar. The Buyer can be seen bouncing his hands up and down in hopes to get the attention of passersby that may sell him some goods. He asks Link to equip an item and show it to him.OOT If Link tries to sell a non-bottled item, or a bottled item that he is not interested in, he'll let Link know he doesn't want to buy that item.OOTOOT

When Link is a child, the beggar appears in Castle Town, near the alley. There is also another poor person here, stating that she should go to Lake Hylia because treasures sometimes end up there, but she doesn't actually beg. When Link is an adult, the beggar appears in Kakariko Village, near the Boy in the Graveyard's house. If Link gives these beggars anything in an Empty Bottle, such as a Bug, the beggar will pay him for it. This leads to the conclusion that the beggar isn't begging for Rupees, as he pays Link. Instead, he is begging for items in Empty Bottles. (See the Empty Bottle List)
Link can sell the Buyer several different items that he has stored in a Bottle. The Buyer will purchase the following items:

*Bottle of Bugs - 100 RupeesOOT
*Fish - 50 RupeesOOT

In Majora's Mask, the beggar is actually only the Bank Teller and the Swamp Spider House Man, because they have the same character designs as the beggar from Ocarina of Time.

Text dumps within the game seem to indicate that the Buyer would also pay 25 Rupees for a Fairy, but this is not the case in the game.OOT

The Buyer is a character in Ocarina of Time.

He asks Link to equip an item and show it to him.[1] If Link tries to sell a non-bottled item, or a bottled item that he is not interested in, he'll let Link know he doesn't want to buy that item.[2][3]

Link can sell the Buyer several different items that he has stored in a Bottle. The Buyer will purchase the following items:

Trivia

Text dumps within the game seem to indicate that the Buyer would also pay 25 Rupees for a Fairy, but this is not the case in the game.[7]
